Fit2GoDelivered under the ban­ner of Alto­gether Now– a Legacy for Black­pool, Fit2Go is a six week, school and com­mu­nity based healthy lifestyle and phys­i­cal activ­ity programme.

The project was made pos­si­ble by £200k of fund­ing from the Pre­mier League with matched fund­ing from NHS Black­pool. It launched in nine schools in 2011 and has now been extended into every one of Blackpool’s 30 pri­mary schools.

This school year will see:

  • Healthy lifestyle ses­sions deliv­ered to 56 classes and 1,400 pupils
  • Phys­i­cal activ­ity ses­sions (includ­ing breakfast/lunch and after school) reach­ing 2,000 pupils
  • Com­mu­nity ses­sions attended by 4,500 children
  • Fam­ily Work­shops dri­ving the mes­sage home to 350 parents/carers etc.
